The Project

In the textile industry, precision, quality and attention to detail are essential. The same principles can also guide energy management, particularly when integrating renewable energy generation into a manufacturing operation.

This is the approach behind the project developed for Pozzi Arturo S.p.A., a textile company that chose to invest in solar power with the aim of reducing grid electricity consumption, increasing self-consumption and making more efficient use of the energy required for its operations.

The project was developed in collaboration with Solarfast Service, which handled the installation, with OKGROUP acting as the distributor providing the Huawei FusionSolar technology solutions.

The result is a 495.59 kWp C&I photovoltaic system, designed around the characteristics of the site and divided into three sections. The overall configuration includes 1,296 photovoltaic modules and 6 Huawei SUN2000 inverters, turning the available surface into a source of renewable energy directly supporting the company’s electricity needs.

System Configuration

Section 1 – 93.87 kWp

  • 298 × 315 Wp modules
  • 1 × Huawei SUN2000-60KTL-M0
  • 1 × Huawei SUN2000-20KTL-MB0

Section 2 – 197.60 kWp

  • 494 × 400 Wp modules
  • 2 × Huawei SUN2000-100KTL-M1

Section 3 – 204.12 kWp

  • 504 × 405 Wp modules
  • 2 × Huawei SUN2000-100KTL-M1

The Benefits of a Huawei Solar Solution

For a C&I system of this scale, energy generation is only one part of the equation. The ability to monitor system performance and maintain visibility over its operation is equally important for effective energy management.

Through the Huawei FusionSolar ecosystem, the system’s energy production and operational performance can be monitored, providing useful insights into the performance of the different components. This gives the company greater visibility over the energy generated and the contribution of solar power to its electricity consumption.

From Solar Generation to Self-Consumption

During the first months of operation, the system has contributed to a reduction in grid electricity consumption and an increase in the availability of self-generated energy for the company’s operations.

The Pozzi Arturo S.p.A. project is therefore a concrete example of how solar power can be integrated into a manufacturing environment, combining renewable energy generation, self-consumption and system monitoring to support more efficient energy management.
