In order to promote the adoption of zero-emission vehicles, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (directive of June 12, 2024) has launched a new incentive to support this initiative. With the introduction of a bonus covering up to 80% of expenses for the installation of charging stations, the goal is to boost the electric vehicle market.

Starting July 8, 2024 applications can be submitted through the new Invitalia Personal Area.

The MIMIT (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) has allocated 20 million euros for the Bonus in 2024. The eligible expenses are those incurred by beneficiaries, traceable via payment records
between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

What expenses are covered by the Charging Station Bonus?

  1. Expenses for the purchase and installation of charging infrastructures;
  2. Expenses for design, project management, safety, and inspections;
  3. Expenses for connection to the electricity grid through the activation of a new POD.

All payments must be traceable. Additionally, to qualify for the contribution, the charging infrastructures must:

  • If the contribution is requested by an individual, the use of the structure must be for private, non-public use;
  • If the contribution is requested by a condominium, the structure must be for the collective use of residents and not accessible to the public.

To be eligible for the Bonus, the charging stations must be new, installed on Italian territory
and located in areas controlled by the applicants. Compliance certification is required, pursuant to Ministerial Decree no. 37/2008.

The maximum amounts are:

€1,500 > for individuals
€8,000 > for condominiums

The bonus cannot be combined with other national, regional, or European incentives used for the same expense.
You have until November 22, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. to submit your application.
